Bedplate to engine block - tighten bolts in the following stages:
1-14 (M10 x 100) = 20 Nm + 70°
15-35 (M10 x 27) = 15 Nm + 90°

Oil baffle plate:
Use new bolts.
M6 x 20 = 4 Nm + 90°
Insert new injection nozzles for sealant application (BMW part No.11 117 506 546) fully into the left and right holes in the bedplate/cylinder block joints using BMW tool No.11 9 360 or equivalent. Install new front and rear crankshaft seals. Blow compressed air (6 bar max.) into left and right injection nozzles. Check that air escapes from the openings on each side of the crankshaft seals.
If no air escapes, disassemble bedplate and cylinder block and clean all mating surfaces. Reassemble components and repeat process.
Inject Loctite 193140 sealant into left and right injection nozzles using BMW tool No.11 4 370 or equivalent until it flows out of injection nozzles and openings at front and rear crankshaft seals fig 2.A and fig 3.A. Remove excess sealant and apply Loctite 17100 hardener where the sealant escaped at the injection nozzles and the crankshaft seals.
