| Main bearings | Renew bolts/nuts: No Clean and lubricate bolt threads. Bedplate to engine block - tighten bolts in the following stages: 1-2 = 8 Nm 3-10 = 8 Nm 11-20 = 30 Nm + 130° 1-10 = 15 Nm + 130° 21-42 = 5 Nm + 90° 43-46 = 5 Nm + 60° 47-48 = 15 Nm If renewing bolts 11-20, the following sequence replaces step 3: 11-20 = 30 Nm + 130° Slacken off 360° 11-20 = 30 Nm + 130° Slacken off 360° 11-20 = 30 Nm + 130° Use Loctite 193140 sealant and inject it into bedplate/engine block joints. Allow sealant to flow out both sides, remove excess and apply Loctite 17100 hardener to seal off.  |
