Cylinder head bolts

Cylinder head tightening sequence

Torx bolts: Use new, oiled bolts and tighten in the following stages:

35-40 Nm, then 70-75 Nm, then wait 5 minutes, then 90°.

Star type bolts can be re-used. Tighten in the following stages:

40-55 Nm, then 50-70 Nm, then wait 20 minutes, then 73-83 Nm, then run engine for 15 minutes, then 95-115 Nm.

Hexagonal bolts can be re-used. Oil threads and tighten in following stages:

40-45 Nm, then 55-70 Nm, then wait 20 minutes, then 95-115 Nm, then run engine for 15 minutes, then 95-115 Nm.

Brake caliper to carrier Front: 25 Nm, Rear: 33 Nm
